"We achieved more than I thought we would. It was fascinating to see how the song writing got us working more creatively as a team - it made me realise how little we modify our styles of working."
L&D specialist - Linklaters
'I feel happy, relaxed and have this smile stuck on my face. I have this new air around me making me feel confident and with a 'can do' attitude. I now have confidence to try out more activities that I never would have dared to do.'

''I ask my team members all the time if they're using all their skills and they say ''yes'' - but in this workshop I saw them in roles I'd never seen them in before - for some it was a complete transformation.''

"The shared experience meant I saw my colleagues as human and felt more able to approach them in the future. I was skeptical but I’m really glad our team pushed for this! Power of Uke indeed!"

''The word I was thinking I wanted to feel at the end was ''jovial'' - I'm feeling very jovial now!''
Innocent - Finance Team
''I often feel scared of failing or not being good at something so it's nice for us all to be out of our comfort zones and achieve positive results. Sometimes tasks seem intimidating and you don't know where to start - it was good to break it down to smaller tasks. It also help you look at things a bit more creatively and more open to change."

Power of Uke was set up in 2014 by comedian and teacher Sarah Weiler after she saw the transformational impact this little instrument had on her team in an educational startup in Vienna. A token songwriting session at Christmas kick-started a culture of creativity, until music became uke-biquitious in the organisation. On her return to the UK she realised that so many workplaces could do with an injection of joy – and Power of Uke was born!
Her workshops are an amalgamation of her eclectic skill-set as a teacher, coach, workshop facilitator, trainer, stand-up comedian (as Sarah Nade), songwriter, musician, events organiser and former four-year old. She is passionate about helping people reconnect with their inner child and enjoy life a little more. Alongside Power of Uke she co-runs Rye Laughs – Peckham’s monthly comedy night and Creative Retreats – helping people find time and space to explore and reconnect with their creativity.
